Introduction
DMB Alliance

System

  • T-DMB uses MPEG-4 AVC (Advanced Video Coding), BSAC (Bit-Sliced Arithmetic Coding) and BIFS (Binary Format for Scenes) as the encoders for video, audio and contents-related data services. All of these encoded results are multiplexed into MPEG-2 TS packets. To increase the mobile reception capability of the audio, video and data contens,an additional channel coding scheme which includes RS (Reed-Solomon Coding) and convolutional interleaving is used for the FEC (Forward Error Correction). Then the channel coded TS packets are transmitted through the Eureka-147 stream mode.
  • An ensemble containing the encoded audio, video and data stream can be configured as the following picture. Any service in this ensemble can have the audio, video and data stream as its service component as well as all the other traditional Eureka-147 audio and data components.
